The present book’s seminar is being organized by Department of English in collaboration with English Language Teachers’ Association of India (ELT@I), Satara Chapter. It primarily aims at providing a platform to explore postcolonial voices as reflected in creative writing in English across the globe. The literary texts are directly or indirectly influenced with the perspective framework of literary theories on the one hand and some of the theories are begotten out of literary creations, on the other. The seminar concentrates on diving deep into the world of critical thinking, novel ideas and new approaches towards understanding literary texts particularly written in postcolonial period. It would be a kind of intellectual feast to the participant teachers, researchers and students. As the critical thinking and interpretation of the texts differ from reader to reader in different contexts with different perspectives, the chief motif behind organization of this event is to provide platform to the teachers, scholars, research students and other stakeholders to explore the following themes –
